This competition format is created to encourage competitors to fight for
We want to bring BJJ back to it roots, this is an exciting format for
competitors and spectators alike.
We believe that having an event where competitors have to defend or attack
focusing only on submissions will in conjunction with the other BJJFP
events improve the standard and level of competitors in this region.
Our goal is to ensure that we have competition events that provide an
opportunity for the regions players to improve their game, thus being able
to compete with the worlds best in the most prestigious IBJJF events .
COMPETITION RULES AND MATCH TIMES
White / Masters / Women / Juniors - 5 minute match time
Overtime - 1 minute
Blue / Purple - 6 minutes
Brown /Black - 8 minute match time
Overtime - 2 minutes
Eligibility - Judo Black belts / National Team Wrestlers /and Professional
who are not graded in BJJ compete in Blue belt Gi division or Intermediate
No Gi divisions.
HOW TO WIN
Win by submission or advantage points for submission attempts ( advantages
given only for failed submission attempts )
