SHOUT OUT: BJJ BORNEO BELT-PROMOTIONS

16^th May 2012 belt grading in Sabah is a millstone for the Borneo Islands as it marks the first time a bjj purple belt is awarded on island grounds. Allen Solomon Chong of Team Bjj Borneo was awarded the rank of purple after serving 4 years as blue belt, by Professor Marcos Escobar, a 3^rd Degree BJJ Black belt and instructor of Leverage Combat Academy / Marcos Escobar Bjj Association. Together with Allen, 5 new blue belts were also awarded to Bartholomew Sulaiman Lee, Adrian Tham (receiving the belt in leverage - KL), Richie Ismail Celestial, Travis Fernandes (at 16yrs old, youngest blue belt in Sabah to date) and Caroline Anthony. Stripes were also awarded to deserving recipients as listed below. Congratulations to all who graded.
