DEEP 'MAYHEM IN MACAO': 01.08.2011!!!!

“DEEP: Mayhem in Macao”
First Ever Largest MMA Event at The Venetian® Macao

Tickets go on sale December 1

Macao, Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (November 30,
2010) – DEEP, a Japan-based mixed martial arts (MMA) promoting and sanctioning organization, will debut its first world-class fighting competition in China at CotaiArena™ at The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel on January 8, Saturday at 7 pm. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, December 1, at 10 am.
The evening will feature an action-packed bill including a professional women’s fight – a rare event in Asia outside Japan, where female MMA is hugely popular plus a super-heavyweight clash.
Since its inception in 2001, DEEP has successfully organized over 50 MMA and 60 grappling
events, and has established partnerships with two major international MMA organizations: DREAM Japan and the US based Strikeforce. DEEP has established as one of Japan’s most exciting and respected MMA promotions.
Many MMA superstars launched their fighting careers with DEEP, including current Ultimate
Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Anderson Silva, Japanese submission ace and current DREAM lightweight champion Shinya Aoki, the legendary Hayato “Mach” Sakurai and former UFC champion Lyoto Machida, just to name a few. In the upcoming competition, MMA history will soon be made with DEEP becoming the first ever Japanese organization to hold an event in Macau. “DEEP: Mayhem in Macao” will surely be hard-hitting, action-packed show not to be missed!
The event comes to Macau as the sport of mixed martial arts grows across the world, most notably in the United States where the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) draws huge audiences at arenas and via TV pay per view. Now it's the turn of top combat athletes from Japan, China, Thailand, Brazil and elsewhere showcasing their skills in this part of the world.
Topping the bill at the CotaiArena is a super-heavyweight title clash between Yusuke Kawaguchi and Kazuhisa Tazawa. With these guys each weighing in at over 100kg, fight fans are in for a treat.

And flying the flag for women's MMA will be Japan's Saori Ishioka who will take on Ann Tipsuta Wongkhamma of Thailand. The reigning Deep champion at 65kg, Masakazu Imanari, will be defending his title while Alex "Dragon SLayer:" Yiu of China challenges Japan's Yuyai Shirai for the 77.1kf Deep Mayhem championship belt.
Chinese fight fans will also be backing former UFC fighter Andy Wong of Taiwan who is up against a Brazilian.
Tickets for “DEEP: Mayhem in Macao” will go on sale Wednesday, December 1 on the first floor of SANDS® Macao and CotaiArena Box Office in 4 categories: HKD/MOP680 (A Reserve), 380 (B Reserve) and 280 (C Reserve). Good luck to Ann---she's going to have her work cut out for her. She started training several years ago at TMT...

...I have a female fighter Claire Haigh who would be perfect for this card.
