THINGS HAVE ESCALATED

photo from: THE NATION

Not sure what reaches the top news stories outside of Thailand but things have kicked-up again here in Bangkok. Last night what started with a verbal clash between the red-shirt (UDD) and anti-red-shirt (Bangkok residents/businesses), turned ugly. From verbally confronting each other to throwing glass bottles, it ended with 4 grenades being launched into the crowds protesting against the red-shirts. Accounts say 1-3 were killed and upwards of 80 were injurred. This is just at Silom Rd which is just next to Bangkok's largest park, Lumpini and one of city's biggest tourist attraction. Tensions have been building with the local residents and protests for well over a week now.

There's no tie-in-message about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu here. Just wanted to share my sympathy for those lost and hurt in all this. I hope that more people don't fall prey to the hate and negativity that is going around.

Be safe and stay positive.

Thanks for sharing.

Stay safe and I hope the situation resolves without more blood-shed, however unlikely that may be...
