Jem has been a long-time teammate and friend of mine since moving to Bangkok. She's currently a blue-belt in BJJ but has fought Muay Thai professionally having dedicated over a year to just training and fighting. I believe 7-fights in total and at one of those she dislocated her shoulder 3x times but kept going, popping it back in, hunting for the body-shots, haha. Doesn't hurt to have a BJJ black-belt and Muay Thai champion for a husband. Even so, Jem stands her own and has a real passion for jiu-jitsu.
She's recently began writing a blog for the ladies out there in Southeast Asia and I wanted to be sure everyone checks it out. There will be a lot of firsts for the community in Southeast Asia since we're still relatively young but that's the exciting part. We get to make it how we see fit and I believe we're all in this to make ourselves and those around us better people.
