CHECKMAT is working hard on helping Brazilian Jiu Jitsu spreading & growth around SEA and proudly announce 2nd academy in Malaysia.
On the 24th, 25th Oct, Checkmat’s team leader and head coach Leo Vieira finished his round of trips around the world, dropping in Malaysia for the 1st time ever to run a 2 days seminar at the gourgeous Mandarin Oriental Hotel – the best in Malaysia and located at the heart of the city.
It was a great event counting on 40 participants that joined sessions including BJJ, Submission and MMA.
Leo stayed in Malaysia for 1 week & also got the opportunity to visit & teach at Checkmat’s first branch in that region, located at Kota Damansara & leaded by Marcos Escobar.
Together with Leo, arrived in Kuala Lumpur for the 3rd time, BJJ Black Belt Chico Mendes.
Chico is one of Checkmat’s top trainers and leaders and came to Malaysia to be based at Kota Kinabalu running classes at the newest Checkmat affiliate in SEA – BJJ Borneo.
Chico will stay there from the 5th Nov till 5th Dec, helping on the development of BJJ in that area.
Checkmat is glad to help on the development of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu around SEA and proud to announce it’s second branch.
Congratulations to all team for the great work and help.
Also congrats to each one of you that supports our cause & spreads BJJ around Asia.
