UPDATE

A lot of things going on and posting has been slow this week, my apologies. I'm very excited since the BJJ-ASIA kimonos are due sometime next week provided I don't get shafted by customs, hehe. So, if everything goes well with delivery I will get all the important measurements on sleeve, body and pant lengths. I don't know about you guys but I'm kinda in between sizes. I'm either an A3 or A2 depending on the cut which can be annoying. So to avoid all that, measurements will be made available along with estimated shrinkage to avoid potential sizing problems. These days it's the only gi I wear for training and would probably compete in them as well. The aim is to provide a quality kimono at a great price considering the cost for name-brands gis and shipping costs from the US, Japan and Brazil. The last gi I bought online cost me $150 USD + $71 USD for shipping and with import tax I probably paid all together $250 USD, ouch!

I will say that shipping out from Thailand is costly so that definitely makes it tougher to get these out there but what I plan to do is:

1. Make these available at any tournament I attend or teammates from Bangkok attend. Of course there is a limit to what we can bring on-hand so it's best to check with me before any major tournament to see who will be where.

2. There will be a merch-table at the FBT Thailand BJJ/Grappling Open this September 19-20, 2009. Here you can check out the gi in person and perhaps buy for friends/teammates back home that couldn't make it.

3. I will offer team-discounts for those looking to buy 10 or more. Perfect for the beginner who needs a solid basic kimono that won't hurt his/her wallet. Please feel free to contact me at bjjasia@gmail.com for prices. (white $60 USD, blue $65 USD)
