This morning marked the first open-mat session since closing for renovations in late September. It's been a stressful process but now that it's done, it feels a bit surreal to have my own academy. I'm waiting on the fitness equipment to come in as we'll add things over time to fit the needs of our students. I snapped a few shots of the guys that came through to help break things in. Thanks to Tomi, Dimitrios, Mark and Carlo.

Be sure to check out our temporary site and blog.

A new site is in the works with more details and should be up within the week. News on upcoming instructors will be up in a couple of weeks so keep checking.

We're a non-affiliate school and welcome everyone to come train, exchange ideas and help each other improve. -LukeNo equipment yet but plenty of space to roll.
View from across the street. We'll be putting up signs soon.

The finished product looks fantastic Luke!! I have never seen white mats before.. I hope they stay that way--they look sharp and so do the floors. Congrats.

Thanks guys. Got a whole new beast ahead of me but not without great support from friends and family. Hope everyone can come by and check it out for themselves. We've got a black-belt coming starting mid-November for a couple of months, more info to come.

wonderfull gym and concept of non affiliation and open door training you got there

i recently opened up some space at a property i owned to set up something similar..its slightly larger than yours since its got 2 floors.. but definetly not as pretty hahah

although i am part of a "team" it is unavoidable sometimes for internal politics to get in the way.. not to mention the politics that somtimes surround this growing sport in this region.

anyways.. hats off to your new place.. ill be following your success/model closely.. hehehee

btw... i copied some of your ideas for our mats.. now all i gotta figure out is how to make a spring loaded floor for cheap
